'Queen Seon Deok'...A New Queen to Dominate GMA!

Another queen is about to dominate GMA-7's Telebabad block! As the first Monday of 2010 arrive on January 4, a new queen from Korean will reign.

Well, she is no other than "Queen Seon Deok", a new Koreanovela termed as the Highest-Rating Asian Drama! Yup, starting on Monday, we will all see her on the Primetime block of Kapuso Network!

This said TV series was topbilled by Lee Yo Won. Kim Young-hyun, the writer of the famous “Jewel in the Palace” is also the main writer of this new series.

To give you a brief sypnopsis of this series as provided by Starmometer.com, it is the story of a beautiful queen, who has to give up her love to save the people. During the Three Kingdoms period of Korea, Deokman (Queen Seondeok’s childhood name) was born a twin but was abandoned as a baby. She was later brought back to the Silla palace, where she joined forces with her twin sister Princess Chonmyong to oppose Mi-shil, who wanted to seize power. Mi-shil devised sinister plans to have the two Silla princesses exiled from the kingdom, and in a secretive battle, Princess Chonmyong was assassinated by Mi-shil. But Princess Deokman shrewdly enlisted the help of General Kim Yusin and eliminated her archenemy Mi-shil. She became the first female ruler of the Silla kingdom.
