Do you still remember this picture?Yup, this is the cover of the famous magazine way back in 2008 wherein they combined the two TV series queens Claudine Barretto and Judy Ann Santos. They were also joined by two prestige actresses Gretchen Barreto who is the older sister of Claudine and Ruffa Gutierrez. The four ladies made an awesome income for the magazine when they featured them together!
And of course, these four girls were also shown together in the last, last year's Pantene shampoo commercial!
But the teamup of this four eventually broke by different controversies.
First the two TV series queens Claudine and Juday. The rivalry between these two tightens as Claud transferred to Kapuso network. Juday remained in their home network and was solely crowned as the "teleserye queen" and the "mukha ng 60 taong Pinoy soap opera"!
Next was Barretto versus Barrretto last Saturday when their drama anthologies from rival networks pitted against each other!
Aside from these, the plan teamup of Barreto sisters in one TV series was no longer prosper when Claud transferred to Kapuso. La Greta was left in Kapamilya and the role supposed to be for her younger sister was now given to Bea Alonzo!
But just a little trivia...did you know that these two Barretto sisters Claudine and Greta already teamup in a TV series?!
Yup, they were already together in the former hit TV series of Claudine in ABS-CBN entiled "Sa Dulo Ng Walang Hanggang"! Greta played there the role of Andrea, the wife of Ronaldo Valdez who eventually became the husband of Angeline (Claudine). But Greta's role there was short since she was killed by the kontrabida Sally (Mylene Dizon)!
