GMA-7 opens a new Sunday afternoon romance mini-series which replaces Marvin Agustin and Jolina Magdangal's "Dear Friend"! This is called "Lovebug". And for its debut episode, it features the first-ever tandem of Dennis Trillo and Carla Abellana in the story titled "The Last Romance"!How will a simple trip turns to an unforgettable romance?!
Shot in the beautiful scenic island of Hongkong, Dennis Trillo and Carla Abellana will give life to the characters of Hero and Rackie.Rackie (Carla Abellana) is a cancer patient survivor. But eventually, the tumor returns. According to the doctors, the cancer cells spread in her brain and she has only three months to live.
Spending her vacation in her Hongkong, Rackie will meet Hero (Dennis Trillo), an event organizer. This started their friendship which turns to be more than a friend relationship!
But Hero is about to marry his long-time girlfriend Remy (Iwa Motto) in a few weeks. And Rackie didn't expect that she will find her last romance in the person of Hero. Both of them were hard to let each other go!
How long will their relationship last? Will Hero cancel his supposed to be wedding with Remy because of Rackie? And how will Rackie love Hero knowing that she will about to leave forever in three months?! Such a bitter-sweet love story huh!
Joined together with them is Carla Abellana's real-life father Rey PJ Abellana playing the role of Abel. Other cast were Pinky Marquez as Anita, Pinky Amador as Greta, Paolo Paraiso as Phil, Mike Tan as Dado, Renz Valerio as Joshua and Dang Cruz as Rosa Mia.
Love and romance will once again fill the air every Sunday afternoon with this new romance mini-series. Each story will run for a month (four episodes) and will feature new and interesting love pairings! C",)
