Andrew Russell Garfield in real life is a 26-year old actor who was born on born August 20, 1983. He is better known for his roles in the 2007 films "Lions for Lambs" and "Boy A", as well as 2009′s "The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus".
According to the source, Film producer Avi Arad said that Garfield is “the perfect choice” to play “a smart, sensitive, and cool new Peter Parker who can inspire us and make us laugh, cry, and cheer”!
Five actors including Andrew were chosen to play the role. These were Josh Hutcherson, Logan Lerman, Aaron Johnson and Jamie Bell. Surprisingly, Andrew Garfield bested them all! He will begin preparing for the role immediately and shooting is expected to start later this year. The release of the movie will be on summer of 2011!
