Is 'Babaeng Hampaslupa' a 'Mano Po' Remake?!

Is the Kapatid network will have their own remake of the hit Tsinoy-theme movie "Mano Po" through their newest drama series "Babaeng Hampaslupa"?!

It's because seeing the trailer, the background title of the TV series, and the costumes of the characters, it really depicts "Mano Po"!

Even the flow of the story, the characters involved were Chinoys or Chinese-Filipino! Ms. Susan Roces portrays here the character of Mrs. Helena See a strong powerful Chinese-Filipino woman! Even the lead actor actor Jay Manalo will also play the character of a Chinoy businessman! The whole story will revolve around the Wong family, a rich Chinoy clan!

Do you think its better that the title of this newest TV5's TV series is "Mano Po" rather than "Babaeng Hampaslupa"?! Or maybe TV5 would request Regal Films to grant them rights to put a remake of "Mano Po" in a TV series!

As part as we know, "Babaeng Hampaslupa" is originally a classic movie of the diamond star Ms. Maricel Soriano! We all thinking that this is a remake of that said movie rather than a remake of "Mano Po"!

But still we are looking for the success of this new teleserye! Keep it up! c",)

    Nung una kong narinig ang title ng Babaing Hampaslupa, ang akala ko, remake 'yan ng pinakaunang film ni Nida Blanca kung saan siya ang nasa title role... Pero MALI ANG AKALA KO. Tsk!

    Actually, remake na lang din 'yung kay Maricel Soriano. The very first film starred Nida Blanca, Rogelio dela Rosa as the leading man and Rosa Rosal as the villain. Produced by LVN Pictures. It was a romantic comedy, based on the stories told by my mom. Yung "remake" nung kay Ms. Maricel, iba na rin yata ang kuwento...
