The family of the teen actor AJ Perez wants to give his cornea to the blind Marian devotee Fatima Soriano. But after the checkups, the doctor of Fatima says it's impossible!
According to the reports of ABS-CBN news, Dr. Mae Singson, one of Soriano's eye doctors, said this is not possible because her problem is her retinas and only corneas can be transplanted.
‘Yon ang defective sa kanya and it has been defective since pinanganak siya. So changing the cornea, which is sa harapan ng mata ay hindi makakabigay lunas sa kanyang karamdaman. To this day, wala pa tayong effective na retinal transplant," Dr. Singson explained.
But Fatima still accepts her fate. According to her, "I accept po kasi alam kong ito ang will ni Lord."
Fatima even thanked the family of Perez for the kind gesture, and said that maybe someone else out there needs his eyes more than her.
In a lighter way, Dr. Singson emphasized that there is a long list of people who need a corneal transplant.
Fans of Fatima were more disappointed than her. But according to the miracle girl, she was ready for this. She's not the type of a person that can easily be upset. Yup, maybe God has a reason for this! Let's still accept the fate! c",)
