In the remake, JC De Vera, Oyo Boy Sotto, Niña Jose, and Nadine Samonte reprise the four lead characters previously portrayed by Michael De Mesa, TIrso Cruz III, Glenda Garcia, and Mariz Rickettes.
The original lead character Michael De Mesa who played Gardo Valiente is also part of the main characters. He is the kindhearted father of today's Gardo Valiente JC De Vera!
The remake also serves as the reunion of the former real-life couples namely Michael De Mesa-Gina Alajar and Mark Gil-Jacklyn Jose! Jacklyn reprises the character of the wicked Doña Trining Braganza previously played by the veteran actress Odette Khan!
The theme song of "Valiente" is sung by Mr. Vic Sotto! The TV series remake is under the direction of Joel Lamangan.
Looking back in the history, the original "Valiente" was a classic hit TV series aired on the early part of 90's as a daytime soap opera in ABS-CBN. Its timeslot was right after "Eat Bulaga." When "Eat Bulaga" transferred to GMA-7 in 1995, "Valiente" also switched network.
