Former “Goin’ Bulilit” child star Sharlene San Pedro topbills the ‘Batang Ina’ episode of “Maalaala Mo Kaya” this Saturday (April 21).
Sharlene bravely took the role because she believes in the beauty of the letter sender’s lifestory. “I’m thankful that MMK chose me for the episode. The role as a young mother is very challenging and it will surely give lessons to the viewers,” she said.
Sharlene will portray the role of Gigi, a young child who had to sacrifice her dreams and her studies and work as a maid because of poverty. Gigi’s dreams turned into a nightmare when she was raped repeatedly by his employer. Unfortunately, she got pregnant and had to face difficulties of being a young mother.
Together with Sharlene in the ‘Batang Ina’ episode are Dante Rivero, Justin Cuyugan, Cherry Lou, Joy So, Chienna Roseph Filomeno, and Edrilyn Ocampo. It is researched by Akeem del Rosario, written by Marie Ann Dimaculangan-Fampulme, and directed by Don Cuaresma.
