Star Cinema and Spring Films bring back the successful box-office comedy movie of 2009. The previous blockbuster hit "Kimmy Dora: Kambal sa Kiyeme" returns on the big screen now called as "Kimmy Dora and the Temple of Kiyeme." This time, it is not solely comedy. It has a mixture of horror and suspense!
Inline with its showing, three of the main persons behind the said movie graced the bloggers in an event full of fun, laughter, and tears (of joy)! The movie director Bb. Joyce Bernal, the movie writer Chris Martinez, and "Kimmy Dora" herself Ms. Eugene Domingo mingled with us.
The three gamely answered our questions with humor. They were talking and sharing experiences with us the way how barkadas share cool stuffs with friends.
Eugene started by giving us a glimpse on how this second movie was conceptualized. At first, they planned to show teaser of this movie sequel during the 2011 MMFF. But it didn't came to life since taping were not yet even done due to hectic schedules! They planned to shoot the movie on January then was moved to February until ended up in March.
Since the three of them were all fresh from horror movies - Bb. Joyce from "Segunda Mano" while Eugene and Chris from "Shake, Rattle, and Roll," the Part 2 of "Kimmy Dora" then came out with a touch of horror and suspense! Bb. Joyce laughably shared that the "pagiging sinto-sinto" of Dora was more triggered as she saw ghost in the story!
The discussion became more fun and lively as more topics were discussed at the same time, the trio answered with humor and without 'kiyeme'!
Here are some of the unforgettable moments during the "Kimmy Dora" Meetup. Let these pictures speak for you:
