ABS-CBN’s weekday and weekend primetime TV programs recorded higher national TV ratings last weekend (June 5-7), according to the latest data from Kantar Media.
ABS-CBN ruled weekend programing with “Maalaala Mo Kaya’s” #MMKLoveAndPower episode topping all shows last Saturday (June 6). It scored a whopping national TV rating of 39.2%, or 17 percentage points higher compared to GMA’s “Magpakailanman” (22.3%).
“Your Face Sounds Familiar” Grand Showdown ended with a national TV rating of 37.6% on Saturday (June 6) and 36.7% on Sunday (June 7). The pilot telecast of “The Voice Kids” Season 2, on the other hand, debuted strongly with 35.4% on Saturday and 36.2% on Sunday.
Inspirational drama series “Nathaniel” scored its highest national TV rating of 37.5% vs. GMA’s “Pari Ko’y” (15.8%).
The debut appearance of Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo in “Pangako Sa’yo,” likewise, marked a new milestone for the series as it reached a national TV rating of 37.2%, compared to its rival “Let the Love Begin” with only 13.8%. It also broke records as the first TV show in the country to generate more than 1.5 million tweets in the microblogging site Twitter.
“Bridges of Love” (23.7%) and “Pasion de Amor” (22.5%), on the other hand, fired up the TV screens of viewers last Friday (June 5) as it won against GMA’s “The Rich Man’s Daughter” (12%) and “My Mother’s Secret” (8.6%), respectively.
