The Clash Season 4 first runner-up Vilmark Viray wrote and released his second song. This song is called 'Lisan,' an emotional ballad which he dedicates for his late father.
Inline with this new song, Vilmark just had a virtual media conference on April 27, 2023. During the mediacon, Vilmark shared the background story of this song about losing someone. According to him, he finished writing the song in one day right after the death of his father.
He narrated to the press people and bloggers present during the mediacon how he lost his father and the emotional pain he encountered when losing someone.
On one of his interviewers, he told: "Ako ‘yung kumausap kay Kuya Paulo Agudelo and sinabi ko na I really wanted to release this song kasi I dedicate this to my father and I believe ito ‘yung perfect timing sa career ko to do something for him.”
Vilmark also elaborated that his song 'Lisan' is not all about sadness and grieve. It will also lead the listeners to be strong and move forward. "Gusto ko ipaabot na it’s okay to grieve at maramdaman ‘yung lungkot pero we need to move forward and let’s hope na whatever is happening in our lives, there’s a reason for it. Now, I feel like I’m stronger as a person and we need to be stronger para sa mga taong kasama natin. ‘Wag tayong mawawalan ng pag-asa dahil lahat ng nangyayari sa buhay natin ay may dahilan,” he added.
Meanwhile on the lighter side, did you know that Runner Rocky and Vilmark Viray actually came from the same school with the same course which is BSECE (Bachelor of Science in Electronics and Communications Engineering)? Aside from singing which is his passion, he is currently practicing his profession as an Electronics Engineering in the field of Automation taking the role of a Technical Support.
During my interview with Vilmark, he shared his journey and challenges taking his course in engineering at the same time pursuing his passion in singing. In college, he sang in different events raising additional income for his schooling. "Natutuwa nga si nanay kase hindi na niya ako binibigyan ng baon," he shared.

Vilmark also shared that aside from singing, he also tried his luck in acting. Actually he already appeared in one of the TV shows in GMA.
When I asked if among the three fields - singing, acting, and engineering, what will he choose if only one field to pursue, he promptly answered singing which once more defies his passion in music.
Talking about collaborations, Vilmark revealed that he dreams to work with Julie Anne San Jose, Lani Misalucha, and Christian Bautista in the future. He admires and idolizes these three singers who also molded his during his "The Clash" era.
Moreover, Vilmark is looking forward to releasing more songs and to have his own album in the future. "Excited din ako sa mangyayari sa career ko and alam ko namang hindi ako pababayaan ng GMA Music,” he added.
