After her iconic character in "FPJ's Batang Quiapo" as Mokang, Prime actress Lovi Poe is back in acting! This time, she plays the lead role in an upcoming Regal Entertainment's social romantic drama film, "Guilty Pleasure."
In the movie, Lovi is playing the character of Alexis Miranda, a highly-skilled attorney. She owns the Miranda and Associates. The plot of the story started when Alexis accepts the case of Zach Lopez, a man accused of rape, as her client. Accepting the case means going against Atticus, the biggest law firm in the country, and her former colleagues who are representing the victim - Madison Valencia.
The story becomes more complicated when Alexis recalls the trauma of her own past while working on the case. She once again has to deal with Adam Lucero, the man who broke her heart, betrayed her trust, and almost made her lose her career, and Matthew Caliente, the young lawyer she mentored in the past. JM De Guzman and Jameson Blake portray the characters of Adam and Matthew respectively!

“Guilty Pleasure” is actually one of the three new movie offerings of Regal Entertainment this 2024 as part of their Regal Legacy event. The other two movies are the rom-com with a sci-fi twist “My Future You” which stars FranSeth (Francine Diaz and Seth Fedelin) in their first movie together as a love team; and the psychological horror “Untold” which is lead by Ms. Jodi Sta. Maria in her another remarkable role.
Under the direction of Connie Macatuno and written by Noreen Capili and Trisha Mae Delez, “Guilty Pleasure” will be hitting the cinemas nationwide starting this October 16, 2024.
